The New Year started with the happy occasion of DoggieRescue celebrating its 9000th adoption – little Gideon a Foxy cross who found his forever home in the Blue Mountains. As the 9000th dog adopted, Gideon and his new family made the long trip to join in the official celebrations on 16 January.
Gideon’s Mum was presented with a certificate of congratulations and Gideon received a package of doggie treats and partook in savouring the yummy cake. Volunteers, customers, kennel hands and friends alike all joined in the celebrations.
This is a historic milestone for DoggieRescue.com and we thank all our supporters and volunteers, the media and the City of Sydney who selected DoggieRescue.com as its Christmas 2009 Charity Partner.
We need to remember there is much unfinished business. With the on-going help of all of our supporters we intend to fulfil this year’s goal of:
10,000 in 2010!
